Come learn the process of making your own sauerkraut and other vegetables through the wonders of fermentation. This hands on food preservation workshop taught by UMaine Extension staff and volunteers will teach you the steps for fermenting. Learn the basics, such as preserving equipment, recommended recipes and ingredients, and the ease of fermentation. You will start a batch of sauerkraut or kimchi, learn the steps towards fermentation, and take you first batch home to finish!
