English Classes (Multilingual Learners)
MLL classes (formerly called ELL classes) are for speakers of other languages who wish to learn MLL English or improve their English language skills. Due to the demand for classes, students enrolled must be residents of Scarborough. New students may be placed into an appropriate MLL class after completing an intake meeting and a reading assessment.

Intro to Healthcare with EnGen (Online)
with EnGen Online
For students wishing to advance reading skills to 238 for entrance to CNA, we recommend co-enrolling in Personal Support Specialist(PSS) training and/or Multilingual Learners(English) classes if needed, and a structured EnGen class.
You will need an internet connection, a device to study with EnGen, be 18 years of age or older and eligible to work in Maine. Please call 207-730-5040 to register.

Math for HiSET

We will work on strategies to approach and solve word problems and to review higher level mathematics necessary to advance to the official math exam.

HiSET Preparation Lab

HiSet Preparation Lab
This class helps you to prepare to take each of the five HiSET tests with extra emphasis placed on math and writing instruction. Students work at their own pace and Official HiSET testing is available on a weekly basis when you have successfully completed study and Practice testing.

Pumped Up Strength (ZOOM)

Pumped Up Strength is a new approach to resistance training. Utilizing combination movement patterns in a targeted, rhythmic progression, its superpower is the dynamic integration of upper and lower body movements set to fun music.
The result? A sweat-drenched, functionally efficient workout that will challenge your body in new ways, improve lean muscle mass, and rev your metabolism.
This is one of Jenna's favorite formats to teach as she loves to empower people to feel strong and confident when finishing a workout!
Recommended equipment that will be used in class includes:
- A set of hand weights anywhere from 5-15lbs.

Ukulele for Beginners
with Jim Doyle
Anytime is a great time to learn to play ukulele, one of the easiest stringed instruments to learn. Students will learn how to tune their ukulele, play basic chords, and play some simple songs. Practicing for 15 minutes a day is an absolute minimum to condition fingers and hands to progress with learning to play your instrument.
Recommended purchases and equipment that will be used in class:
- Ukulele
- Purchase "The Daily Ukulele: 365 Songs for Better Living" music book by Jim Beloff and Liz Beloff (Available via Amazon or ask your preferred local music shop to assist with ordering)
- An electronic instrument tuner (more accurate) or tuner app for digital device such as a cell phone
