Looking for a new career?  Interested in changing lives of those around you?  How about a part-time career or to get paid to work out?  This program is designed to teach you everything you need to know to enter the health and fitness field as a group fitness instructor and/or personal trainer.  Our trainers are highly recognized in this field, with more than 20 years experience, and will provide you hands-on training to pass the national tests through AFAA.  The program is all-inclusive.  You may choose to complete both group fitness and personal training, or take one or the other.  Lectures are once a week for 10 or 20 weeks.  $1,500 or $3,000 for both.  All materials included in fee including National Certification Exams.

Medical Assistants are responsible for a variety of medical office tasks from administrative to technical and scientific duties and must have quality human relations skills. Some  job duties include cleaning and dressing wounds, taking blood samples, administering medications, taking vitals, preparing a patient for EKGs, obtaining a patient’s history, and assisting physicians during examinations. Program provides virtual reality style classroom work and traditional style teaching for a blended learning experience. Practicals performed to ensure student has proper techniques and will be ready to pass National Certification. Upon completion, sit for your CCMA (Clinical Certified Medical Assistant) national certification exams through NHA . $3000 includes national certification, 6 practice exams, online study guide materials, books, resume assistance, and all other associated fees. Externships may be available.

Are you a licensed CNA with at least one year of continuous employment and wish to  further your career by becoming a licensed Med Tech so you can administer medications in addition to your CNA duties? Certification upon completion of course requirements (60 hrs classroom, 20 hrs Lab skills and 40 hrs of supervised clinical practice). Class begins when projected participants are approved by the Maine State Board of Nursing and all admission criteria has been met. Please call the office for an application and list of requirements.

TechHire is a program designed to recruit, assess, train and place young adults into Maine’s IT industry in positions like computer support specialist, software, and health informatics. Completed training results in credentials recognized by the IT industry. This grant funded program provides a host of services to train young adults (between the ages of 17-29) and career changers who are looking to transition into IT roles. *Eligibility requirements do apply.

20 week, in-depth, State-Certified Certificate program in medical coding.  This program is designed to teach all aspects of medical coding and provide you the skills you need to become nationally certified and get into the job market as a Certified Coder.  This certificate program is taught by a Certified Medical Coder and includes Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, CPC exam, AAPC membership, 3 practice CPC tests and all books.  Basic computer skills are required.  $3500 

20 weeks 2 nights per week/ 1 coding class 1 term & A&P class if completing in 20 weeks

88 hours

Thursdays 5:30-8 p.m. Coding

Tuesdays 6-8 p.m. Terminology/Anatomy
