Learn to generate a journal that can be duplicated for your family. Jill has been designing and delivering seminars in management, organizing, as well as putting life into words; she holds a BA in organizational communication from Northeastern U. and an MBA from Framingham State U.

American Mah Jongg Beginners II

If you took Sharon’s beginner Mah Jongg or other beginner MJ classes in the past, then come to up your game a notch! Also perfect for anyone who has basic familiarity with American MJ, but feels they need more instruction or game play strategy. Advance your knowledge of the game, gain an understanding of defensive and offensive strategies, and strengthen your ability to pick hands. Become part of southern Maine’s welcoming MJ community. Beginner Mindfulness Meditation

Calendar Mar 13, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 4 weeks

Mindfulness is intentionally paying attention with non-judging awareness and a centering in the present moment. Mindfulness practices help keep the mind calm and focused, and avoid being stressed, distracted and scattered. Learn various mindfulness meditations through guided breath, body scan, mindful eating, and loving kindness meditations. Easy to learn body scanning increases awareness of body and mind. Loving kindness meditations teach compassion to self and others. Learn to mobilize inner resources for coping, growing, healing, and approaching life. Deborah holds a BA in psychology with courses in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and a certification in quantum healing hypnosis.

New! Bring a DSLR (digital single-lens reflex), mirrorless or compact camera, as long as the camera has manual settings (“M” on your camera). Spend the first two classes learning basics about the “exposure triangle” and how to use it, then cover dynamic range, exposure compensation, editing, and workflow. Work your way up to some intermediate techniques. Meet off site at Portland Head Light or similar location, for the last class, to get hands-on and practice with what you’ve learned. See some of Dave’s work, including stunning aerial photography taken by helicopter, on his company’s website:

Looking for a new career?vInterested in changing lives of those around you?  How about a part-time career or to get paid to work out?  This program is designed to teach you everything you need to know to enter the health and fitness field as a group fitness instructor and/or personal trainer.  Our trainers are highly recognized in this field, with more than 20 years experience, and will provide you hands-on training to pass the national tests through AFAA.  The program is all-inclusive.  You may choose to complete both group fitness and personal training, or take one or the other.  Lectures are once a week for 10 or 20 weeks.  $1,500 or $3,000 for both.  All materials included in fee including National Certification Exams.
