We have contracted with a college and career counselor to offer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator online. After you have completed your MBTI profile and Strong Interest Inventory you may schedule a session with the counselor to review your results and to discuss options for post-secondary education and your career goals.

College Success Seminar


Explore the college learning process, discover your individual learning style, practice test-taking skills, time management and study skills! This college level course is equivalent to ACSS 104 at SMCC. Attendance and completion of the class with a grade of 80% or higher will earn you 3 CREDITS at as a matriculated student. This class will be available at several Hub Programs and transmitted to Scarborough via Webex. FMI and to register, please call 207-730-5040. 


Math for College

Calendar Oct 9, 2018 at 6 pm, runs for 10 weeks

Our College Transition program offers Math classes to prepare students to take the ACCUPLACER which determines readiness for College Level Algebra. The class is designed to help you with the skills you need to (a) earn an acceptable score on the number skills and elementary algebra Accuplacer and (b) help you succeed in your College Algebra class. 

10 weeks

Tuesdays, 6-8 pm

TOEFL Preparation: Test of English as a Foreign Language

So you are thinking of going to college soon?

The TOEFL test is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. If English is NOT your first language and you are trying to enroll in an American college or university you will, most likely, be required to take this test as an entrance requirement. Our instructor works with you on reading, speaking, listening, writing and test-taking skills needed to pass the test with online and paper materials we will supply to you. Anticipated to be a small group experience with individualized assistance available.  PLEASE LET US KNOW OF YOUR INTEREST ASAP!
