Scottish Country Dancing

Get ready to Jig and Reel your way into the world of Scottish Country Dancing (SCD). You don’t have to wear tartan or a kilt; you don’t need special footwear (comfortable flat shoes are fine); and you don’t have to bring a partner (Scottish Country Dance involves dancing with different partners). So, why not give it a try? The class is for beginners and experienced dancers.

Ukulele for Beginners
with Jim Doyle
Anytime is a great time to learn to play ukulele, one of the easiest stringed instruments to learn. Students will learn how to tune their ukulele, play basic chords, and play some simple songs. Practicing for 15 minutes a day is an absolute minimum to condition fingers and hands to progress with learning to play your instrument.
Recommended purchases and equipment that will be used in class:
- Ukulele
- Purchase "The Daily Ukulele: 365 Songs for Better Living" music book by Jim Beloff and Liz Beloff (Available via Amazon or ask your preferred local music shop to assist with ordering)
- An electronic instrument tuner (more accurate) or tuner app for digital device such as a cell phone

Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Guitar
with Mike Shannon
Advanced beginners and intermediate players will learn the chords, skills, and techniques for starting their guitar-playing journey. Learn how to strum simple tunes and make the most of your practice time. An acoustic guitar and picks required, and an electric tuner and capo are recommended.
