with Linda Snow McLoon
$14
Upon hearing of the outbreak of fighting between colonists and British regulars at Lexington and Concord in 1775, Silas Burbank immediately joined a militia group heading for Boston, taking along his two young sons to serve as a fifer and a drummer. This PowerPoint program tells the Burbank’s fascinating story of their service in the American Revolution, including being captured by the British, dining with General Washington, and playing a role in the traitor Benedict Arnold’s defection. Stunning 18th century Revolutionary War art is included.
